Glyn Hall

Replacement of the existing building with a new community hall in central Ewell, Surrey.

This was a tricky and constrained site located in a Conservation Area. External consultants had confirmed that the hall in its present condition is unable to serve its original function as it had reached the end of its economic life.

The aim was to create a scheme that was contemporary and reflected period design elements of the area.

The proposed new building with its associated facilities, will be capable of meeting not only the current, but also the future needs of the developing local community. It will help in the creation of a more sustainable community and in the area’s regeneration.

The new building will consist of a main hall, have toilets, including a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities, a separate kitchen, designated storage and will benefit from an additional meeting space on the first floor.
